Storyline

The new film by French director Cédric Kahn focusses on Philippe Fournier, a man who lives with his 2 sons, having decided not to give them back to their mother after she won custody of the children. The children Okyesa and Tsali must grow up in the shadow, hunted by the police but always free and on the move.

Philippe Fournier, nicknamed Paco, lives with his 6 and 7 year-old sons, whom he took away from their mother who had gained custody of them after their separation. Children, then teenagers, Okyesa and Tsali Fournier live hidden with their father, under fake identities, hunted by the police, but living a free, nomadic life. They experience clandestinity, danger, fear, but also total communion with nature and their animals. They show full solidarity for people they meet on the road and feed off the happiness of living “outside the system”. On the run for 11 years throughout the South of France, their journey forges their identities until justice catches up with them...
