Storyline

The destinies of five young women from all over the world intertwine in Paris as they embark on a roller-coaster ride of extremes in their search for love, sex and money. SHANGHAI BELLE portrays Xin, a beautiful and quiet Chinese girl, propelled from the slums of Shanghaï to the glittering world of Paris, discovering the wild and carefree lifestyle of a photographic model. Her life is a whirlwind of drugs, money, sex and love. Paris, the famous “City of Light,” is also a giant meat market, producing and discarding young hopefuls at a terrifying speed.
