Storyline

Stéphane Guillon plays Paul, a novelist having put his career aside to write funeral orations since the death of his wife. During his spare time, he tries to help his old neighbour Victor to get rid of the memories of his brother, who died in the camps. Emma, also a widow, would like to help her son pronounce once again the name of his father after a year of silence. Paul and Emma meet at a funeral and their collaboration will quickly turn into romance. While the films starts as a remarriage comedy, a fantastic irruption comes to derail the story: because he mentioned his name too much, Paul ends up bringing Nathan the deceased husband back to this world. Neither ghost nor usurper, the latter disturbs a well-oiled machine. His emergence raises a question to which the protagonists thought they had an answer: does love survive death? If the beloved came back to life, will he find his place again, and will it be intact? The story takes place at Christmas and plays on the magic surrounding that time and the enchantment of storefronts. An enchanted toy actually plays the role of the trigger, reinforcing the “Christmas tale” aspect of the story.
