Storyline

500 years after her birth, Leonardo Da Vinci's (1452-1519) Giaconda is probably the most famous picture in the world, one of the more studied works of art and a monument to kitsch. She has gone all the way from being muse of the Romantics to Freud's patient. Marcel Duchamp (1919) painted her with a moustache. How terrible! From then on, other Dadaist, Cubist, Surrealist artists did waht they like witha Giaconda...And now, the kind Japanese set her up in a little 200 squared metres apartment for  her own. She has hundreds of web pages and her face is reproduced for many object...It is Mona Lisa mania, a mass culture icon. Long live Mona Lisa!
