Storyline
After 50 years of conflict, the Colombian government and the revolutionary armed forces of Colombia (FARC) are negotiating a final peace agreement. How could generous revolutionary aspirations turn into horror and violence? Is reconciliation possible? Thanks to a unique access, the film will document this process.
Two irreconcilable enemies sit at a table to dialogue. The peace process in Colombia told through unprecedented access to the main actors in the negotiations and exceptional archive material. Four years of tense meetings that culminate in a historic agreement after decades of violence.
On the one hand, we listen to the approach of José Manuel Santos, Colombian president and Nobel Peace Prize, and on the other hand, to Timochenko, RAFC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) guerrilla leader. Film director Natalia Orozco shows the arguments of all parties and instils her own character to a narration punctuated by her reflections. Never before had we seen the inner workings of such a fragile negotiation, which, against all odds, manages to avoid the constant threat of dialogue breakdown.
