Storyline

The voice-over of an anonymous Guinean exile who inherited a river when his father passed away, and who recalls, from the distant desert, childhood episodes, popular legends and old African beliefs, leading us into the turbulent past of Equatorial Guinea.
The film deals with an unfamiliar subject: the Spanish colonization of this African country and the political, religious and cultural legacy that emerges after the declaration of independence on October 12, 1968, from the blood-spattered times of Francisco Macías' dictatorship to the current regime of his nephew, Teodoro Obiang.
