Storyline

In 2003 Antoni Tàpies turned 80. Though Spain's most important living contemporary artist, he is one of the least understood by the general public. In this report, the artist talks about his work for the first time and reveals the details of his creative process as we follow the trajectory of a work from its conception to public exhibition. Tàpies constitutes a link between two generations of artists, thus embodying a key to the history of European painting in the 20th century. With this documentary, the artist hands downs a unique legacy of his life and work.
